About SeaSound Transport
Family-owned. Community-driven. Committed to moving the Pacific Northwest forward.
Our Story
Rooted in Seattle & Tacoma.
Reaching Everywhere.
SeaSound Transport LLC was born out of a simple conviction: that businesses in the Pacific Northwest deserve a logistics partner who treats every shipment like their own. Operating across Seattle and Tacoma — at the crossroads of the region's industrial corridor and the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma — we are positioned at the heart of the region's freight network.
We work the I-5 and I-405 corridors that connect the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma to inland warehouses and distribution centers. That positioning means faster container pickups, shorter dwell times, and less fuel burned on every port run. When a vessel berths and your intermodal container needs to move, we are already close — ready to roll 24/7, 365 days a year.
As a family-owned carrier, we bring a level of personal accountability that larger operations simply can't match. The values that built this company — honesty, hard work, and putting people first — come straight from the family dinner table. Every driver is treated like family, every customer relationship is personal, and every decision is made with long-term trust in mind rather than short-term profit. That's what “family-owned” actually means here.
We started with a single truck and a conviction that the Pacific Northwest needed a carrier who genuinely cared. Load by load, that one truck became two, then three, and today SeaSound operates a fleet of 10+ modern power units staffed by experienced, CDL-certified drivers. Growth was never the goal for its own sake — every unit we added was a direct response to customer demand and a promise that we would never sacrifice service quality for scale.
We hold USDOT #4061311 and MC-1541062 (State UBI 605187486) — fully authorized for interstate property transport. Our cargo authority covers General Freight and Intermodal Containers in 20′, 40′, 45′, and 53′ sizes. Every driver, every truck, every route meets federal compliance standards because trust isn't negotiable in this business.

What Drives Us
Mission, Vision & Values
“Delivering More Than Goods: The SeaSound Transport Commitment to Partnership and Sustainability.”
Mission
To provide reliable, flexible, and sustainable freight solutions that power the Pacific Northwest’s supply chain — building lasting partnerships with every delivery. We exist to ensure that businesses of every size have access to the same level of logistics excellence that was once reserved for enterprise shippers.
That means answering the phone at 2 a.m. when a container needs to move. It means transparent pricing with no hidden surcharges. It means treating every load — whether it’s a single 20’ container or a full 53’ trailer — with the same urgency and care, because your supply chain doesn’t wait and neither do we.
Vision
To be the most trusted regional carrier in the Pacific Northwest, known for our operational excellence, community impact, and commitment to environmental stewardship. We envision a future where local carriers set the standard for reliability — not just meet it.
As we grow, we measure success not only by loads delivered but by relationships deepened. Our vision is a Pacific Northwest freight network where shippers, receivers, and carriers operate as true partners — sharing data, reducing waste, and building a supply chain the region can be proud of.
Values
Transparency in every transaction. Flexibility in every route. Accountability in every mile. We treat your cargo like our reputation depends on it — because it does. As a family-owned business, our name is on the door, and that means every promise carries personal weight.
In practice, our values show up in the details: real-time shipment updates so you’re never guessing, direct communication with dispatchers who know your account by name, and a no-excuses approach to on-time delivery. When something goes wrong — and in freight, things happen — we own it immediately and fix it fast.
Our Fleet
10+ Power Units.
Zero Compromises.
Every truck in our fleet is maintained to the highest standard, operated by CDL-certified professionals, and inspected on a rigorous DOT schedule. We handle General Freight and Intermodal Containers — 20′, 40′, 45′, and 53′ sizes — moving between the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma and destinations across the interstate network.

Our preventive maintenance program goes beyond what federal regulations require. Oil sampling, brake inspections, tire pressure monitoring, and electrical system checks happen on a fixed calendar — not just when a warning light comes on. The result is a fleet that spends more time earning revenue and less time in the shop.
Every driver holds a valid Commercial Driver's License and completes regular DOT physicals, drug and alcohol testing, and continuing safety education. We don't just meet the requirements — we build a culture where safety is a point of professional pride, not a box to check.

Sustainability
Forward-Thinking
by Design
Sustainability isn't a marketing checkbox — it's how we operate. Every investment in our fleet and routes is measured against its environmental impact. As a small fleet, we have the agility to adopt greener practices faster than the industry giants — and the accountability to actually follow through.
Route Optimization
Our dispatchers use GPS-integrated route planning to minimize empty miles and deadhead runs. By consolidating pickups and optimizing lane assignments, we estimate a 15–20% reduction in fuel consumption compared to unoptimized routing — fewer miles burned means fewer emissions released.
EPA SmartWay Alignment
We are actively working toward full EPA SmartWay partnership. Our fleet maintenance schedules, fuel tracking, and emissions monitoring already align with SmartWay benchmarks. Certification is a near-term goal that reflects practices we’ve followed since day one.
Fleet Modernization
Every power unit in our fleet follows a strict preventive maintenance schedule — oil analysis, DPF regeneration cycles, and engine diagnostics at manufacturer-recommended intervals. Modern engines and well-maintained equipment burn cleaner, last longer, and keep our trucks out of the shop and on the road.
Idle-Time Reduction
Unnecessary idling wastes fuel and pumps emissions into the air for zero productive miles. Our drivers follow a firm idle-reduction policy, shutting down during extended waits at ports, warehouses, and distribution centers. It’s a small discipline that adds up to meaningful environmental savings across thousands of annual operating hours.
Future Emission Standards
The freight industry is evolving, and we intend to stay ahead. We’re tracking EPA Tier 4 developments, California CARB regulations, and emerging clean-truck mandates so that our fleet is ready — not scrambling — when stricter standards arrive. Sustainability isn’t a checkbox; it’s a long-term investment.
Community
Built in Seattle & Tacoma.
Invested Locally.
SeaSound Transport isn't just another carrier passing through — we're woven into the fabric of the Seattle and Tacoma communities we serve. Our drivers live here, our families are here, and the local businesses we serve are our neighbors. When the region thrives, so do we — and that connection shapes every decision we make.
We believe that a healthy local economy starts with reliable jobs. Every position at SeaSound — from CDL drivers to dispatchers — offers competitive pay, consistent hours, and a workplace culture built on mutual respect. In an industry known for high turnover, we invest in the people who make our business run because retention isn't just good HR — it's good service.
By choosing local vendors, fueling at regional stations, and maintaining our fleet with local service providers, we keep dollars circulating in the Seattle and Tacoma communities that matter most to us. Supporting local businesses isn't a corporate initiative — it's simply how a family-owned company operates when it genuinely cares about its home.
The Seattle–Tacoma metro is one of the most important logistics corridors on the West Coast. We take pride in being a small but meaningful part of that ecosystem — connecting manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to the ports that power Pacific Northwest trade, and contributing to the regional economy with every load we haul.
Seattle–Tacoma Operations
We work the I-5 / I-405 corridor between the Port of Seattle and the Port of Tacoma — close to every major berth, terminal, and warehouse.
Local Employment
Our CDL-certified drivers are local hires. We provide stable, well-paying careers across the Seattle and Tacoma area.
Small Business Partners
From fuel to maintenance to supplies, we prioritize local vendors and service providers to keep our community strong.
Regional Economic Impact
Every container we move between the ports and inland destinations supports the broader Pacific Northwest supply chain and the businesses that depend on it.
